BAE is seeking a Product Support/Sustainment Engineering Lead to coordinate, and execute through-life sustainment programs for advanced electronic warfare systems. The right candidate will be familiar with current DoD acquisition, sustainment, and Depot activation strategies, with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) engineering knowledge and an understanding of the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements. They will be motivated to lead teams of ILS Engineers, Product Support Specialists, Tech Writers, and Trainers supporting multiple programs within the Defense Logistics department. They are expected to understand team dynamics and project planning, estimating, and execution, able to work with program managers and engineering staff. They are expected to understand the methodologies behind repair Depot planning and activations. They will be customer-facing in their role, and able to respond to internal and external inquiries on all programmatic/project technical and administrative matters.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years work experience or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with the management and development of Integrated Logistics Support(ILS) deliverables using Product Support techniques and Logistic Product Data (LPD)/Logistics Maintenance Information (LMI) (i.e., Level of Repair Analyses (LORA), Logistics Support Analysis/Requirements (LSA/R), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Provisioning data, Spares Analysis, Packaging, Handling, Shipping and Transportation (PHS&T), Support Equipment Recommendations (SERD)s), Interactive Electronic Tech Manual (IETM) development, and Training.
  • Familiarity with support analyses using electronic models (OPUS, EAGLE, COMPASS, SESAME, etc.)
  • Proven ability to act strategically in scheduling and coordinating ILS related long-term sustainment needs and activities across multiple programs
  • Good working knowledge of Reliability, Maintainability, and Product Safety
  • Ability to assist PMO in establishing sustainment and Depot activation contracts
  • Familiarity with the latest Model Based Engineering (MBE) and Model Based Product Support (MBPS) tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Cost Account Management (CAM), being responsible for developing an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) on large programs, and for meeting cost and schedule targets
  • Must be able to attain a Secret clearance


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience in supporting technical proposal activities including Technical Volume development, evaluation of requirements within statements of Work or Requests for Proposal, and creation of Product Support Bases of Estimates (BOEs)
  • Familiarity with repair Depot activations and customer planning/coordination
  • Experience with principles of Contractor Logistics Support and Performance Based Logistics
  • Familiarity with repair Depot activations and customer planning/coordination
  • Experience overseeing the development of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals and Training documentation.
  • Experience with life cycle sustainment planning and execution requirement in new start development, production and sustainment projects.
  • Experience with cost account management and Earned Value Management


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
