What we’re looking for:

Iodine Software is seeking an Instructional Designer to join the team! 

What you’ll do:

The Instructional Designer will be part of the Customer Education team, within the Customer Success Organization. Our primary learning audience is external customers and partners, along with internal team members seeking product training and certification. This is a collaborative role, and you will work closely with the customer education team, product, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to design, develop and deliver amazing training and certification programs. These programs encompass different delivery formats, including interactive eLearning, hands-on exercises, live web-based learning, blended solutions, videos, training guides, exercise workbooks and certification exams. The ability to access customer and business needs to propose effective, relevant, and engaging training curriculum and content is crucial to the role. This role reports to the Director, Customer Education.

  • Collaborating with internal Product, Implementation, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Success to determine key needs and areas of focus for education content. 

  • Designs content outlines storyboards, courses, lessons, learning objectives and assessment questions to effectively transfer and validate knowledge. 

  • You are customer obsessed with the learner’s experience and apply best practices in adult learning to your design. You are also passionate about delivering value quickly to the customer and you take a highly iterative approach to design. 

  • Working with go-to-market teams to capture latest functionality released for internal enablement and external education. 

  • Maintains working knowledge of customers’ different personas, broad industry knowledge and use cases. 

  • Assesses, reviews, and interprets technical documents, educational resources and existing course materials used for development net instructional materials. 

  • Designs content outlines storyboards, courses, lessons, learning objectives and assessment questions to effectively transfer and validate knowledge. 

  • Develops cutting edge, engaging and interactive eLearning lessons and/or blended learning solutions to drive customer outcomes and increase customer satisfaction and product adoption. 

  • Design and Implementation of the  latest learning delivery eco-systems including; Learning Management Systems, User Community and Digital Adoption Platforms. 

What we’d love to see:

Minimum Requirements (Education, certifications, and experience):

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning or equivalent work experience preferred.   

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Instructional Design experience in a corporate training environment; Experience with similar industry, customer-facing, fast paced Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company preferred.

  • Proven knowledge of applied adult learning theory, instructional design, and assessment strategy.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop engaging, eLearning, videos, and hands-on exercises that incorporate both design elements and effective learning principles. 

  • Experience with designing and developing product certification exams for customer and partner audiences is a strong plus. 

  • A proven track record of creating systems that measurably increase product adoption and customer outcomes for thousands of platform user and multiple personas. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. 

  • Working knowledge of content authoring tools, LMSs, and other learning technology platforms. 

  • Excellent experience with Articulate

Preferred Requirements:

  • Understand U.S. health system operations, CDI, and its value to hospital reimbursement systems.

  • Passion to innovate and try new ways of developing and sharing learning content. 

  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills: ability to see larger picture and details.

  • Experience in a growth organization where quick thinking and flexibility to change are essential.
