Job Profile Summary

The Insider Threat Management Principal is a technical subject matter expert for the cyber security Insider Threat program at Humana, reporting to the Associate Vice President of Threat Management and Response.  The Insider Threat program integrates threat intelligence, threat actor research, proactive threat hunting and behavioral analysis. This role involves leading collaboration with key enterprise partners to ensure the security and integrity of the company's assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Insider Threat program, integrating threat intelligence, threat actor research, proactive threat hunting, and behavioral analysis
  • Develop strategies to mitigate accidental or malicious insider threat behavior through preventive and detective technical control improvements
  • Create and maintain policies, standards, procedures, and documentation related to insider threat management
  • Assist in high-risk, high-visibility insider threat investigations
  • Assist in creating insider threat detection use cases to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls
  • Develop and deliver insider threat user awareness training for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Use KPIs and other metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Provide support for regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI, SOC2, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with insider threat, offensive security methodologies/best practices,  threat investigations and forensics, threat hunting or threat intelligence.
  • Expert level understanding of the insider threat landscape in terms of the tools, tactics and techniques of insider threats and a strong understanding of how complex, multi-stage attacks function.
  • Ability to independently lead high-risk, high-visibility insider threat investigations internally with key security and enterprise partners and externally across open and closed source partnerships.
  • Highly adept presenting to high level stakeholders
  • Ability to expertly build relationships/partnerships across various business segments with executive level leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in a relevant cybersecurity field (i.e., CISSP, CFE, GCIH, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.

Remote/WAH requirements:

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.  
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$156,600 - $215,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
