Job Description

Day in and day out, this role is immersed in dealership operations, encompassing both accounting and retail functions within the automotive industry. For accounting, responsibilities include responsibilities include data validations, accounting workflow training such as AP/AR, journal postings, schedule reconciliation, daily deposits, etc. This role necessitates seamless coordination across various internal and external teams to meet deliverables. Additionally, collaborating closely with remote internal teams to ensure operational transparency is crucial. 
 

On the retail side, the role focuses on automotive desking and sales, involving direct customer interaction through F&I Menus and executing deals that align with the intricate regulations of OEMs, lenders, and regional requirements. Validating deals and liaising with diverse stakeholders are essential for meeting deliverables. Furthermore, working closely with onsite implementation and support teams is key to providing comprehensive support. Candidates must possess a deep understanding of the automotive industry dynamics and proficiency with the Tekion platform, emphasizing compliance, organizational rigor, and adaptability.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and facilitate dealership user training and support through the implementation lifecycle
  • Provide DMS training to dealership staff in all departments and have fun while doing it
  • Guide and direct additional implementation specialists assigned to the project to ensure high execution
  • Obtain critical milestone signoffs from key dealership contacts
  • Proactively identify implementation risks and mitigate them effectively and efficiently
  • Manage training and setup items in an organized manner, keeping detailed notes, and completing all checklist items in our implementation runbook
  • Must successfully complete an 8-10 week certification/training program and display a strong grasp of product and process knowledge retention
  • Demonstrated history of sustaining a positive attitude during high-stress situations with both dealer partners (DP) and internal teams
  • Fast-learner, and passionate ability to remain in-touch with fast-changing SaaS solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of the retail automotive industry, including common terminology and dealership process flows
  • Deep understanding of Tekion products, including end-user workflows and configurations
  • Knowledge and understanding of implementation processes, including adjacent internal teams role & responsibility with the project
  • Represent Tekion in a positive and professional way in all dealership interactions
  • Work closely with the Implementation manager to set and manage dealership expectations
  • Foster relationship with all dealership personnel and stakeholders
  • Heavy focus on dealership accounting  
  • Heavy focus on automotive desking and sales (from interfacing with customers via F&I menus to booking deals that comply with the complex and rigid worlds of OEMs, lenders and regions) 

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of DMS experience in the auto industry
  • Proven experience implementing SaaS solutions in large and small auto dealerships
  • Experience working in an early-stage startup environment is a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, interacting with all levels of stakeholders
  • Established ability to articulate technical jargon into consumable levels of understanding for adult learners
  • Ability to take customer suggestions or insights and translate them into technical deliverables for Tekion Product & Support teams
  • 3+ years in Project Management or Project Lead role is preferred
  • Travel is 85-90%
  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments

The salary range for this position is $67,760 - $114,500. The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. This position is also eligible for a bonus or commission whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Base Salary Range

$67,760$114,500 USD
