Kraft Heinz Fresno Ready to Drink Plan has been in Fresno, Ca since 1989. We are a Non-Union Facility employing over 27 employees producing Capri Sun and Kool-Aid Burst Products all year round.

The Human Resources Coordinator works within the Human Resources team and is responsible for all facets of Human Resources with a focus on payroll, attendance, and benefit administration. This position manages all hourly payroll and benefit activities including the timely and accurate payment of employee wages and deductions. The position also collects, maintains and files all necessary information and documents relevant to benefit and payroll administration, computes wages, and investigates and resolves any payroll issues or discrepancies and strictly follows company policies including the provisions of collective bargaining unit agreement and legal regulations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate Human Resources procedures in compliance with established company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Leads Benefits Enrollment annually and serve as the "go to" person for all benefit related issues.
  • Effectively communicate policies and regulations to gain support and understanding.
  • File/answer/transfer calls
  • Sort/distribute mail to appropriate mailbox
  • Recruitment, including screening resume's, setting up interviews, new hire paperwork, provide/track 30, 60, 90 evaluations, etc.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation. Ensure accurate documentation (such as I9s, computer access information, etc) is distributed and signed by new hires.
  • Maintains job postings including awarding job bids
  • Reviews and edits the contingent employee timecards, in an automated timekeeping system, to ensure that pay guidelines are met and completed in a timely and accurate manner, for the purpose of generating "Contingent Payroll" on a weekly basis
  • Back up KHC hourly payroll
  • Maintain relevant logs for discipline, accommodations, attendance, and others.
  • Be an advocate for plant employees by addressing their issues if possible and escalating serious or repetitive issues to appropriate leadership .
  • Maintains all personal files, to include I-9 compliance
  • Process product purchases, when necessary
  • Administer attendance related calls
  • Administers Workshare, respond to unemployment, disability claims and participate in appeals hearings.
  • Keep employees updated on relevant communications through updating of communication boards, Bright Sign, Employee Hub, TVs, and through verbal discussion.
  • Assists with employee engagement activities
  • Prepare and maintain employees' badges.
  • Back to HR Specialist, to include but not limited to payroll, leave of absence tracking, monthly training tracking
  • Assist KHMS People, Learning and Development chapters where appropriate for the position.
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Must have 2 years of Human Resources experience.
  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written with co-workers, supervisors and management.
  • Action oriented with a drive for results and perseverance.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, be self-motivated, make good sound decisions and maintain self-control under pressure, manage time optimally and can work with minimal direction.
  • Enthusiastic learner, able to work in a high stress environment.
  • Interpersonally savvy, with ability to work well with others and engage, empower, and correct employees.
  • Able to handle responsibilities professionally and ensure confidentiality in critical matters.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail; with effective documentation skills, to include accurate paper and computer data entry.
  • Positive teamwork attitude, which is maintained during interactions with employees, and outside contractors.
  • Basic knowledge of CA employment Law.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, a plus.
  • Proven experience as a payroll coordinator or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll, a plus.
  • Working knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., Kronos).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel along with functions, data, etc.
