The Opportunity 

Highnote is looking for an enthusiastic HR Generalist to join our HR team.  This is an opportunity to immediately dive into all aspects of HR and make a direct impact as we continue to scale our company. You will partner closely with leadership and have exposure to all teams throughout the company. This is a great growth opportunity for someone wanting to learn the full spectrum of Human Resources in a small and growing company.    

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the entire employee lifecycle including new hire onboarding, benefits orientation, offboarding checklists, and leave of absence administration  
  • Semi-monthly payroll entry for both US and Canada Payroll
  • In-house guru for our current HRIS, Rippling 
  • Ownership of our internal “People Page” and Employee Handbook
  • Creation and maintenance of various HR Data Reports and Policies 
  • Help monitor HR compliance across States where we have an employee presence 
  • Administration of annual trainings 

What we are looking for: 

  • 4+ years of experience in Human Resources,  
  • Bachelor of Arts
  • Experience with Rippling

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Flexible, startup mindset, and ability to operate within a very dynamic, fast-paced work environment
  • Proactive and action oriented: no task is too small or insignificant for you
  • Able to juggle multiple and shifting priorities and still deliver results
  • Must be resourceful by nature and have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Eager to learn and stay up to date with the ever changing world of HR

  • At Highnote we have built a total rewards philosophy that includes fair, equitable, geo-based compensation that is performance and potential based. Our compensation packages are competitive based on robust market research and are a combination of a cash salary, equity, and benefits. In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual salary range for applicants is $60,000-$90,000.
