The Human Resources Technology (HRT) Data and Reporting Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping, executing and transforming how HR analytics are utilized company wide. This role will collaborate with HR leaders to define key performance indicators, design and develop analytics solutions and provide actionable insights to drive data-driven decision-making. This position will contribute to the development of the HR analytics roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Create standard functional specifications for production support development and act as a testing resource for production support maintenance requests and issues that arise for HR Systems application security.
  • Partner with and advise the development team on security related issues and potential solutions.
  • Serve as a HR COE Team Subject Matter Expert providing knowledge regarding HR Reporting.
  • Participate as a system testing resource as needed for various HR Technology projects.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and HR analytics professionals to understand their analytics needs and provide customized solutions.
  • Act as a consultant to HR teams, offering expertise on data-driven strategies and recommending improvements based on analytical findings.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within HR through data analysis, offering insights to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide training to HR professionals on data-related tools and best practices.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to empower the broader HR team with data-driven insights and capabilities.
  • Demonstrate consultative and client-oriented approach to the HR data analysis and interpretation.
  • Assist with interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources for use in analysis and trending.
  • Responsible for identifying what reporting solutions will fulfill business unit needs.
  • Experienced in handling confidential data by following security/confidentiality standards.
  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Produce ad hoc reports to answer business questions quickly and thoroughly.
  • Create reports and data driven presentations.
  • Drive process efficiencies/best practices which promote data integrity and ensure delivery of accurate reporting of data.
  • Work independently with internal clients to determine their reporting requirements.
  • Assist with the investigation and perform root cause analysis.
  • Define, document, implement and track process flows for all processes, procedures, and policies for the department.
  • Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure business processes and rules are aligned, adjusting documentation accordingly.
  • Document processes using Microsoft Office Suite of tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
  • Interact with internal teams to ensure systems/tools are in accordance with business processes and rules; adjust systems/documentation accordingly.
  • Perform a cross-functional role to facilitate business process changes with stakeholders in other departments.
  • Assist with working with stakeholders to support the integration of new processes, into existing operations.
  • Audit and recommend updates to existing methods, procedures and process documentation on an as needed basis.
  • Participate in developing and communicate tips, tricks and best practices to support goals.
  • Participate in process requirements, planning and validation through operational testing to ensure plan changes meet business sponsor needs.
  • Manage the process review and signoff of new methods and procedures.
  • Support testing and roll out of all projects/process improvements that impact the department.
  • Understand policies, procedures and practices for analysis of business performance and impact.
  • Identify trends and occurrences in data and translate findings into various mediums including text, charts, graphs, displays and tables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of HR database/reporting systems
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to self-train and pick up new skills quickly
  • Advanced skills using PC software applications (Access, Excel and PowerPoint, Tableau)
  • Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets
  • Commitment to quality service through appropriate follow through, urgency and persistence
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to present information in an understandable format
  • Ability to effectively consult with department managers and leaders
  • Attention to detail and ability to problem solve HR acumen and technical aptitude, with proven experience in reporting HR/HRIS Ability to multitask
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding employment
  • Working knowledge of HRMS database systems
  • Maintain working knowledge of all HR areas (i.e. Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Training, Compensation)
  • Demonstrated understanding of HR processes, analytical skills, and the ability to form effective partnerships


Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience


Required Related Work Experience

  • Business Analyst/Data Analyst experience - 2-3+ years
  • HRIS and Applicant Tracking System experience - 1+ years


Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • HR ERP application and data reporting experience (e.g., PeopleSoft, iCIMs, Oracle HCM) -1 years
  • HR Analytics application experience (e.g., Visier, Oracle FAW) -1 years
  • Data collection and database design experience - 1 years
