About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results driven Head of US Sales and Account Management, to lead and inspire the team and drive revenue growth. This is a high profile position with revenue accountability for new and existing business across our major customer verticals, Higher Education, Corporate and Federal. The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, mentoring and producing a high performing sales team, account growth and expanding Moodle’s market reach across the US.

This role requires strong and motivational leadership, an exceptional sales coach mentality and the ability to drive sales initiatives. We are looking for somebody driven, analytical, highly experienced in Sales and Account Management and excited to be part of the Moodle growth journey. 

What You’ll Do

Most days in this role usually involve a mix of:

Sales Delivery & Growth

  • Responsible for the delivery and growth of the sales target for new and existing business across all key verticals in the US
  • Manage and oversee the sales funnel end-to-end
  • Implementing and delivering an inbound and outbound cohesive sales strategy to drive performance
  • Collaborate effectively with Marketing team to drive targeted outbound activity and attend events as part of an outreach focus

Sales Planning and Forecasting

  • Deliver effective short and long term sales forecasts that can be used to plan the future revenue of the business
  • Measure the overall sales performance by vertical, product and service
  • Conduct analysis to provide insight on sales performance to enhance future performance
  • Use data to drive performance, monitor pipelines and improve conversion

Sales Operations & Support

  • Set clear direction by determining the appropriate processes, systems and resources required 
  • Ensure the CRM and other systems are always up to date
  • Support the team with the use of systems and software, ensuring correct and compliant usage

Team Structure & Performance Management

  • Ensure team members meet set sales budgets at appropriate and agreed levels of pricing 
  • Determine the accountabilities and roles/ responsibilities of team members (including identifying how team members will work together)

Account/Contract Management

  • Oversee and implement account management growth and support strategies
  • Oversee contracts/NDAs/MSAs and legal and compliance
Requirements

We’d love to meet you

Especially if you can tell us about your:

  • LMS sector experience 
  • Sales experience in Education/Corporate or Federal Sector 
  • Competent Salesforce experience
  • Experience building successful and motivated sales and marketing teams
  • Experience building relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other business leaders
  • Strong work ethic with proactive communication skills 
  • Record of meeting and exceeding sales objectives
  • Customer success-focused
  • Experience managing direct and indirect sales organizations
  • Experience and ease with technologies including the G Suite, Slack, PandaDocs, Jira, Asana or similar 
  • Experience and understanding of client contracts and compliance

Physical & Travel Requirements 

Travel to corporate events/conferences throughout the USA and Globally Around 4-8 weeks travel per year
