Position Overview

As the Head of Fraud Solutions, you will lead the strategic direction and execution of fraud solutions for DataVisor’s clients of selected use cases including ACH, card, onboarding, etc. You will be responsible for defining, implementing, and optimizing fraud solutions as a service, ensuring that our SaaS fraud solutions deliver maximum value and among the best industry results to our enterprise customers. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, industry domain knowledge, and communication skills to drive innovation, enhance customer engagement, and contribute to product development and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership and Strong Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive fraud solutions and solution products aligned with DataVisor’s business goals. 
  • Solution Implementation:  Actively learn industry trends and analyze fraud trends to define and optimize fraud strategies of key use cases to meet changing business requirements in the industry.  Implement solutions and guide the integration and deployment of third-party signals and plugins. 
  • Detection Optimization: Collaborate with data science teams to refine detection models, improve strategies, monitor model and rule performance, and enhance fraud detection accuracy and recall. 
  • Fraud Trend Research and Reporting:  Actively monitor fraud trends to generate research reports and analytics to guide marketing and customer engagements. Leverage fraud trend insights to improve strategies. Offer expert guidance on fraud trends, risk mitigation strategies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Client Engagement: Work closely with Fortune 500 customers in FinTech, Banking, and E-commerce to understand their fraud challenges and deliver best-in-class fraud results. Take customer feedback to influence product roadmaps and feature enhancements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to drive innovation and ensure smooth product and solution adoption.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent DataVisor at industry conferences, speaking engagements, and client meetings to position the company as a leader in fraud prevention.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in fraud/risk management, fraud analytics, and fraud strategy on relevant use cases within Banking, Payments, Social, or E-commerce industries.
  • Experience in fraud feedback systems: dispute, chargeback, ACH returns, Check returns, etc. Experience in utilizing third-party and consortium signals for helping fraud detection.
  • Proven expertise in machine learning-based fraud detection, rule-based fraud prevention, and risk assessment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or analytical discipline. PhD a plus.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with experience driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities to communicate directly with customers and influence C-level executives and technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience with data analytics, SQL, Python, or similar programming technologies is a plus.
