Founded in May of 2023, The Deep View is a newsletter-first media brand that delivers breaking news and insights on artificial intelligence to hundreds of thousands of professionals every day. Our content, newsletters, and podcasts provide professionals with the critical analysis and information they need to make sense of what's happening in AI and how it affects their lives.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented creative to lead our branding, product development, and design across all our growing portfolio of brands. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and can execute quickly and efficiently. As our first in-house designer, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a team of designers and creatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the design of all The Deep View's critical product areas and brands

  • Develop the design vision and branding for each of our media properties, aligning them with our business strategy

  • Maintain a high standard for customer experience, design quality, and team cohesion

  • Establish strong partnerships with Editorial, Engineering, and Content teams to create assets that follow brand guidelines and meet their needs

  • Create the Design team playbook from scratch

  • Continuously improve our products through fast iterations on interactions, flows, and visual design, along with delivering new features

  • Communicate directly with customers to understand needs, share concepts, and turn feedback into action

What You’ve Done Before:

  • 3+ years of design experience, with deep experience working on B2B and B2C SaaS products and/or in media

  • Demonstrated use of qualitative and quantitative data, leveraging subject matter experts to impact customer and business metrics

  • Passion for leading and coaching an inspired team

  • A deep curiosity about emerging technologies and enthusiasm for artificial intelligence

  • Experience creating cohesive, beautiful brands from scratch

It’d Be Great If You’ve Done This:

  • 2+ years successfully building and managing design teams in a high growth environment

    • Passion for leading, coaching and building an inspired team through setting vision, unlocking potential, and driving compassionate accountability

  • Worked in a startup environment where you own the entire design process

Compensation

The annual salary range for the target level for this role is $75,000-$130,000 + benefits
