TRM Labs is a blockchain intelligence company committed to fighting crime and creating a safer world. By leveraging blockchain data, threat intelligence, and advanced analytics, our products empower governments, financial institutions, and crypto businesses to combat illicit activity and global security threats. At TRM, you'll join a mission-driven, fast-paced team made up of experts in law enforcement, data science, engineering, and financial intelligence, tackling complex global challenges daily. Whether analyzing blockchain data, developing cutting-edge tools, or collaborating with global organizations, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact.
As the Product Design Lead, you'll shape the design culture, systems, and strategy for a company building world-class products. You'll need to be a self-starter who thrives on execution, owns the design process end-to-end, and collaborates cross-functionally with teams across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales. This is a pivotal role for someone passionate about creating scalable design engines and delivering exceptional user experiences.
The impact you will have:
- Lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery and wireframing to prototyping and delivery, ensuring a high standard of quality across all touchpoints.
- Create and maintain design systems, workflows, and tools that enable rapid execution and consistency as we scale.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to align on shared goals and deliver user-centric solutions that also drive business impact.
- Champion user-centered design across the organization, influencing product strategy and fostering a high-performance design ethos.
- Rapidly onboard to TRM’s product and business to begin delivering value within the first 90 days.
What we’re looking for:
- A proven track record of success leading product design efforts at fast-paced startups with world-class products.
- Expertise in design tools, particularly Figma for design execution and Notion for documentation and collaboration.
- A self-starter who thrives on fast execution and demonstrates a high degree of ownership.
- Strong ability to develop scalable design systems and align them with cross-functional goals.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with experience working closely with diverse teams including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering.
About the Team:
- Designers closely collaborate with product managers, reviewing and thinking through product specs, asking questions and adding suggestions. They understand the value we need to provide with each feature, and are able to come up with multiple approaches for it while considering timelines and efficient use of resources.
- Designs are dynamic and flexible; work doesn’t finish once mockups are approved. It is common that a design that was approved needs to be updated/adjusted on the spot as the team is building. Iteration is quick and mostly live through Slack threads or huddles. Designer needs to be responsive, promptly providing rationale for design decisions and be open to quickly iterating on alternatives when needed.
- Work hours vary and can be flexible, as long as communication on availability is clear.
Learn about TRM Speed in this position:
- Design mocks within 24-48 hours.
- Understand product priorities efficiently, organize design tasks and align with the team to assign the right scope for a feature and deciding whether you need to design the 1 day, 1 week, or 1 month version.
