About This Role:
We are seeking a Head of Data to lead and scale our data function. This is a multi-faceted role that will help guide our data strategy, drive insights that inform mission critical decisions, and build a high-performing data team. Reporting directly to the VP Strategy & BizOps, this person will work cross-functionally with product, marketing, operations, finance, and the exec team to ensure data is at the core of every decision we make.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy – Craft a clear roadmap for data analytics and insights at Found, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving informed decision-making.
- Lead and scale a high-impact data team – Guide and mentor a growing team of four data analysts, providing both technical guidance and fostering a culture of innovation, curiosity, and professional growth, ensuring the team evolves alongside the company’s needs.
- Champion a data-driven culture – Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to embed data into decision-making processes, transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights that fuel business success.
- Elevate data infrastructure – Assess and enhance existing data systems, identifying opportunities to improve scalability, efficiency, and reliability to support Found’s long-term growth.
- Get hands-on with data — Dig into SQL, spot meaningful trends, and turn raw numbers into insights that drive real impact across product, marketing, and operations.
- Partner with senior leadership to shape and track company-wide goals — Providing actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making, inform OKR progress, and ensure alignment with Found’s vision.
- Shape the future of the data function – Identify opportunities within the team, playing a pivotal role in scaling and structuring the data function as Found grows.
What You Have:
- 8+ years of data analytics experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing and developing teams.
- Strong technical foundation in SQL, data modeling, and data visualization (experience with tools like Sigma, Mode, Tableau, or Looker preferred).
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or R is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and predictive analytics.
- Experience leading and scaling data teams in high-growth, fast-paced startup environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders across product, marketing, operations, finance, and executive leadership.
- A track record of driving business impact through data-driven decision-making.
- Strong communication and leadership presence, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable business insights.
