As a New Graduate Software Developer at Coursera, you will become an integral part of our dynamic and diverse team, contributing to the achievement of product and technical objectives. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned engineers, benefiting from their mentorship and guidance. Additionally, you will work closely with our Product, Design, and Data teams to comprehend and implement requirements, as well as monitor experiments that impact over 600,000 global users monthly.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with an experienced team on software development tasks.
- Participate in code reviews and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software solutions.
- Forge partnerships with Product, Design, and Data teams through effective collaboration.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new features.
- Continually enhance your skills within a supportive environment.
- Benefit from mentorship in a fast-paced, learner-focused environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Computer Science, or related work experience.
- One of: co-op/internship program, previous full time experience, or significant personal projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills; strong representation of previous work
- Ability to work on a team and learn quickly
- Experience working in a short-cycle, agile, iterative development team
- Knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, software design, and object oriented skills
- Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
- Self-motivated, smart, hands-on, relentlessly focused on impact, and able to operate under a great deal of independence
