About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Geospatial Data Analyst to join our Flight Operations Geospatial team. This role will be based remotely in the US. Geospatial data comprises a key element of Wing’s drone delivery system by providing understanding of the environment the system is operating within. This role plays an integral part in the operation of our delivery service. The ideal candidate has a passion for all things geospatial, demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices in geospatial data management, and the ability to deliver results as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Scope geospatial data collection needs in specific operational areas of interest for both current and future Wing flight operations
  • Work with external vendors to collect geospatial data in assigned operational regions 
  • Remotely perform initial and ongoing quality assurance tasks of geospatial data
  • Perform analysis as assigned on multi-source geospatial data
  • Provide recommendations on feasibility of data to be used within Wing’s operational system
  • Input collected geospatial data into Wing’s geospatial data management system 
  • Collaborate within the geospatial team on processes, procedures, and required data for new flight operations areas
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accuracy of Wing’s world model

What You’ll Need: 

  • 4+ years of experience working directly with geospatial data
  • BA/BS degree in Geographical Information Science or Systems, Remote Sensing, other relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong working knowledge of geospatial data collection methods and their related benefits and limitations
  • Proficiency with industry GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, gdal/ogr, etc.
  • Experience with front-end development including JavaScript and TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

Salary Range

$113,000$174,000 USD
