Full Stack Software Development Engineer III:

Expedia Product & Technology builds innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. This role sits in the Agent Experiences team within Product & Technology. Our mission is to build highly-scalable, intuitive experiences that empower our agents to better serve our customers.

As a Level III Software Development Engineer, you will work with a dynamic group of product managers, architects and engineers to deliver a sophisticated, next-generation customer service platform at enterprise scale. You will provide insight and hands on engineering as we build an innovative suite of products and services, integrating seamlessly within our broad ecosystem.

In this role, you will:

  • Work alongside a diverse team of engineers to deliver end to end Agent experience features, with focus on quality, scalability and maintainability.

  • Be responsible for leading complex features.

  • Be a mentor to more junior engineers.

  • Collaborate across our Product Management, Architecture and Engineering teams and with other partners to provide technical input and ensure we build the right solutions to empower our Agents.

  • Develop and test web and API features, and ensure they meet design requirements.

  • Implement proof of concepts and pilots to accelerate the use of new technologies and solutions to solve business problems.

Experience and qualifications:

  • You have a bachelors degree or master's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent related professional experience

  • 5+ years full-stack software development experience across multiple technologies, languages and frameworks

  • Experience in HTML/CSS, ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java/Kotlin

  • Experience with REST or GraphQL services is a plus

  • Experience utilizing cloud technologies and services with Amazon AWS or equivalent is a plus

  • Good communication and the ability to collaborate with and explain technical details and challenges to a wide variety of audiences

  • Tests and monitors own code

  • Seeks to understand how engineering solutions fit business need

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $137,500.00 to $193000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
