Role Description
As a Full Stack Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining AI-powered software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and ML engineers, to build robust and scalable solutions that deliver exceptional value to our clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to deployment and optimization. This is a 0→1 environment and we’re trying to define the category of AI products.

Responsibilities
- Manage projects end-to-end: Lead initiatives from data discovery through design, implementation, and deployment.
- Develop customer-centric prototypes: Create prototypes for new product explorations, focusing on user needs and feedback.
- Proactively communicate: Share insights, progress, and outcomes with your team and leadership regularly.
- Collaborate across teams: Foster strong relationships with other engineering teams and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners within Dropbox.
Many teams at Dropbox run Services with on-call rotations, which entails being available for calls during both core and non-core business hours. If a team has an on-call rotation, all engineers on the team are expected to participate in the rotation as part of their employment. Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience: Proven track record in software engineering, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in backend technologies including Python, Golang | Expertise in frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, Typescript, JavaScript, and popular frameworks like React.
- 0→1 product development: Enthusiastic about building from the ground up, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of pivoting as needed.
- Knowledge of frontend build tools: Familiarity with frontend build tools, module bundlers, and package managers such as Webpack, Babel, and npm.
- Problem-solving skills: Strong ability to translate user requirements into practical, efficient frontend solutions, willing to work across the stack
- Excellent communication: Skilled in presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborating across departments.
- Proactive mindset: Continuously seeks to improve and is not satisfied with the status quo, with a talent for identifying and addressing issues proactively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Growth & Experimentation Mindset – Prior experience working with growth teams, leveraging A/B testing to identify and drive effective user growth initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Experience working on core product engineering teams, collaborating closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and other stakeholders to build impactful user experiences.
- Frontend Expertise & Prototyping Agility – Strong frontend development skills (React, TypeScript, or similar) with the ability to quickly dive into new areas, build rapid prototypes, and iterate efficiently.
