How you will impact the organization…
We are looking for a Full Stack Lead Engineer with expertise in Angular and React, along with strong experience in RESTful API development. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Java Spring Boot and Grails, as well as experience working with AWS cloud services. This role requires a strong end-to-end full-stack development mindset, from front-end UI to back-end services, databases, and deployments. Prior experience leading an offshore engineering team is a plus. Additionally, the candidate should have experience troubleshooting and maintaining legacy systems to ensure stability and smooth integration with modern technologies.

- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, ensuring best practices in code quality, architecture, and performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Angular, React, and Java-based back-end frameworks.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration across systems.
- Work with Java Spring Boot and Grails to build scalable and high-performing applications.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices, maintainability, and security.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and business teams, to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Manage and coordinate work with offshore teams, ensuring efficient communication and task execution.
- Troubleshoot and maintain legacy systems, ensuring stability and compatibility with modern applications.
- Ensure best practices in cloud computing and infrastructure using AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
- Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, testing, and deployments.
- Identify and resolve technical issues to improve application reliability and performance.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. Consensus reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
What you will bring to the table…
- 6+ years of professional experience in software development
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Strong experience with Angular and React for front-end development.
- Proficiency in Java Spring Boot and Grails for back-end development.
- Hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong end-to-end full-stack development experience, from front-end UI to back-end services and deployment.
- Experience with large volume web based applications
- Experience building scalable web sites for multiple industries
- Experience conducting code reviews and enforcing best coding practices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps workflows.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain legacy systems to ensure long-term stability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience leading and working with offshore development teams.

- Location requirements: Fully remote within the U.S. (Los Angeles or Las Vegas preferred.)

The salary range for this role is $140,000- $160,000 USD annually. The total compensation package for this position is negotiable and may also include annual performance bonus, ESPP, enhanced time off packages and benefits. This job doesn't have an expiration date and will remain open until a qualified candidate is hired.
