Franchise Business Consultant 

Full-time, Remote 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW  

Sky Zone is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Franchise Business Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of knowledge in franchise operations, business strategy, and market analysis. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to foster strong relationships with clients. As a Franchise Business Consultant, you will be instrumental in driving the growth and success of our clients’ franchise businesses. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred. 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in franchise consulting, business development, or a related role. 

  • Proven track record of successfully growing and managing franchise businesses. 

  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events, up to 50%. 

  • Proficiency in business software and tools, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate a collaborative environment that drives engagement and facilitates buy-in.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Agile with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market and business challenges.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • This position requires the ability to remain stationary at a computer desk for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Client Engagement: 

  • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with franchise owners and stakeholders. 

  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to understand client challenges and opportunities. 

  • Develop customized solutions and action plans tailored to each client’s unique business model. 

  • Support leadership by guiding standardized methods, best practices, and necessary tools to empower the team to achieve results. 

 

Strategic Planning & Execution: 

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic business plans to drive franchise growth and profitability. 

  • Provide expert guidance on franchise development, expansion strategies, and market entry. 

  • Assist clients in identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities and trends. 

  • Assess and enhance franchise operations to boost efficiency and productivity. Guide clients on financial planning, budgeting, and implementing cost-control measures. 

 

Operational Excellence: 

  • Evaluate and improve franchise operations to enhance efficiency and productivity. 

  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures across franchise units. 

  • Conduct performance analyses and provide actionable insights to optimize operations. 

 

Training & Development: 

  • Provide mentorship and coaching to franchisees on business management, leadership, and operational skills. 

  • Lead workshops and seminars focusing on essential marketing, sales, and customer service topics 

  • Direct the development and execution of strategic business plans aimed at enhancing franchise growth and profitability. 

  • Provide stakeholders with essential documents to ensure successful operations and revenue generation. 

 

Financial Analysis & Management: 

  • Perform financial analyses to evaluate business performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement. Utilize tools such as sales metrics, weekly sales reports, quarterly and annual benchmarking, and review of profit and loss statements (P&L). 

  • Conducted performance analyses and offered actionable insights to optimize sales and streamline operations effectively. Support franchisees in meeting financial targets and maximizing profitability 

  • Educate and guide owners on enhancing sales through company-wide initiatives and best practices, encompassing memberships, birthday parties, programs, marketing strategies, summer camps, and additional revenue drivers such as café services and approved alternative sources of income. 

 

Compliance & Risk Management: 

  • Ensure franchise operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements. 

  • Advise clients on risk management strategies and implement measures to mitigate potential risks. 

  • Monitor and enforce brand standards and quality control measures. 

  • Act as a subject matter expert in park operations and financial acumen across Sky Zone, contributing to operational and location policy decisions. 
     

 

Compensation range is $100-$125k/yr  plus bonus based on qualifications and experience.  Full-time employees at Sky Zone enjoy a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401k plan with company matching.  Eligibility for 401k is based on age and tenure requirements.
