Intro and job overview:

Precisely’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, part-time opportunity for undergraduate students actively enrolled in university. This is an 10-week program that begins June 9th and ends on August 15th. This opportunity is 100% remote and you must be located in the United States during the summer internship. The Financial Planning & Analysis Intern will work closely with the FP&A team.

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) intern will play a pivotal role in refining our T80 Analysis, which compares technical investment to revenue growth. This enhancement aims to provide a clearer and more detailed view of business trends by product line, enabling better strategic decision-making and highlighting key areas of growth and opportunity.

Responsibilities and duties: 

  • Develop and refine the T80 Trended Dashboard to track and visualize technical investment compared to revenue growth.
  • Analyze business trends by product line to provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data and ensure accuracy.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously monitor and update the dashboard to reflect the latest data and trends.
  • Identify key areas of growth and opportunity through detailed analysis.

Requirements and qualifications: 

  • Strong financial analysis skills, enabling the intern to interpret complex data and derive meaningful insights
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and data visualization techniques
  • Ability to present and tell a compelling story using quantitative information, effectively communicating findings to stakeholders
