Enterprise Technology Director 

Mission: Lead a team of technical professionals and collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and execute technology strategies that drive business growth, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives, ensuring the effective use of technology to drive business outcomes.
  • Technology Roadmap: Create and maintain a technology roadmap that outlines the organization's technology vision, goals, and priorities, and ensures alignment with business objectives.
  • Leadership: Lead a team of technical professionals, including architects, engineers, and developers, to design, develop, and implement technology solutions.
  • Architecture and Design: Develop and maintain enterprise architecture and design standards, ensuring consistency and scalability across all technology platforms.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale technology projects, ensuring timely and within budget completion.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost optimization.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate technology-related risks, ensuring the organization's technology infrastructure is secure and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Collaborate with business stakeholders to communicate technology strategies, plans, and progress, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technology trends and identify opportunities for innovation and digital transformation, driving the organization's technology agenda.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the efficient operation of technology systems, processes, and infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, maintaining a secure and compliant technology environment.

Ideal candidates have/are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior technology leadership role, with a focus on enterprise technology.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale technology projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of technology trends, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically.
  • Experience with budgeting and cost management, with a focus on cost optimization and ROI analysis.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Data Center management frameworks, such as Uptime Institute Tier Certification, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, with the ability to track and manage key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Experience with vendor management, including contract negotiation, performance management, and issue escalation.

Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is $171,000 to $281,000, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.

Location: Some roles may require being located near or on our primary sites, as indicated in the job description.
