About the Role:

Under the supervision of the Manager, Engineering, the Engineering Manager will provide technical leadership and lead complex, long-term, cross-team engineering efforts. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the US with manager's approval.

You Will:

  • Partner with product managers to understand requirements, translate these requirements into technical tasks, and ensure the engineering team delivers the expected outcome.

  • Set the technical vision for the Self Service Experience team in Customer Success Technology organization and partner with engineers of other teams to set a broader technical vision.

  • Plan and execute engineering objectives, including quarterly objective definition, resource allocation, and re-prioritization when necessary.

  • Mentor engineers across the company. 

You Have:

  • Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 7 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation of reliable, available, and scalable distributed systems.

  • 3 years of experience with leading technical teams in complex engineering projects; 

  • 3 years of experience with driving and building long-term technical strategy; 

  • 3 years of experience with mentoring engineers; 

  • 3 years of experience working with ML teams to improve Machine Learning models; and 

  • 3 years of experience with Go, Java, Python, MySQL, Aurora DB, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and AWS Cloud APIs.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $180,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
