Shipt, Inc. seeks a full-time Engineering Manager. This position will direct and manage the daily operations of Shipt’s cloud infrastructure department by analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, setting deadlines, and achieving measurable outcomes. The position supervises the work of up to 12 professionals (software engineers/developers). This position requires a master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer and Information Sciences, or a related field and 3 years of experience in a data science, research engineering or related occupation. Must also have 36 months of experience with each of the following: (1) automating all cloud operations and scripting in AWS and GCP; (2) using AWS EC2, Simple storage service, Autoscaling, IAM, CloudWatch, Docker, Apache Airflow, Scalyr, Splunk, Grafana, Slack, CloudTrail, and SOC & PCI Compliance frameworks; (3) using lean and agile methodologies (Agile, Scrum, and PMP techniques); (4) building scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS Cloud Formation, Ansible, or Terraform infrastructure as code products; and (5) using Cloud Finops to maximize business value and collaborate with team members. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. May telecommute from any U.S. location. HQ at Birmingham, AL. Salary: $168,230 to $202,478/year.
