We seek a unicorn to join our industry-leading technology team co-founded by the former CTO of salesforce.com. Our technology stack includes Java server technologies, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and patent-pending analytical methods on top of MongoDB and AWS.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to build the user experiences and back-end engine that power the workflow to allow hoteliers to make optimal pricing decisions and publish them to the whole world. More than 3000 hotels use Duetto to price their rooms, amounting to over a million pricing decisions per day.
What you’ll do:
- Own the execution and delivery of the product roadmap and backlog for two engineering teams.
- Be obsessed with quality - our customers, partners, and colleagues expect high-quality deliverables.
- Coach, mentor teams and individuals for high-level performance and growth
- Consistently demonstrate excellent leadership behaviors.
- Be the team scrum master championing agile best practices -- grooming, planning, retrospectives, and servant leadership.
- Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams on planning, design, implementation, and ultimately customer success.
- Always be looking for opportunities to evolve engineering practices, systems, and processes towards efficiency and scale.
- Work collaboratively with globally distributed teams.
- Work with the team on solution designs and review code.
Desired Skills & Expertise
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 10+ years experience building enterprise-grade SaaS applications, including 2+ years managing teams of at least five full-stack engineers
- Strong foundation in building modern scalable web applications with enough depth on both frontend and backend technologies
- Track record of delivering complex software products on time with high quality using agile methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience collaborating with US-based product companies and globally distributed teams to provide value iteratively using agile and scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with data-driven and data-focused applications, data scalability techniques; ideally a knowledge of SQL as well as modern NoSql techniques
- Understanding and love of Javascript, CSS, and API driven / MVC user interface frameworks
- Passion for analytical applications, forecasting, data visualization, and machine learning.
- Curiosity about business problems and using modern infrastructure to solve real-world challenges
