Pulumi is looking for an experienced Principal Technical Product Marketing Manager to articulate the value of Pulumi's products to the world. You will be a part of realizing a vision that empowers every developer to program the cloud.

In this role, you will help technical leaders, engineering managers, and software engineers understand how Pulumi's technologies transform cloud infrastructure automation, security, and management, while driving measurable outcomes for their businesses. You will be responsible for defining our positioning and messaging to developers and technical decision-makers, creating compelling content to help them understand the use cases and value propositions, and building the right marketing programs to increase awareness and adoption.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the short- and long-term strategy to grow awareness, shift perceptions, and drive adoption of Pulumi’s product portfolio across key audiences
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to distill complex technical features into clear, compelling, and differentiated messaging tailored to developers and technical decision-makers
  • Lead the development of value propositions, go-to-market strategies, marketing campaigns, and enablement programs to accelerate adoption and drive market leadership
  • Develop a wide range of audience-specific content – blogs, videos, case studies, demos, presentations, landing pages, whitepapers, and more – to educate and engage Pulumi’s audiences
  • Research industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to refine messaging and content strategies
  • Enable our field sellers with the tools, training, messaging, and competitive differentiation they need to effectively position and sell Pulumi in the market
  • Engage press and industry analysts to communicate Pulumi’s value, influence thought leadership, and position Pulumi as an innovator in the space

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in technology marketing, product marketing, engineering, or product management, ideally in developer tools, DevOps, or cloud technologies
  • A strong understanding of modern software development practices, cloud infrastructure, and the needs of developers and engineering teams. A bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience is preferred
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts into language that resonates with diverse audiences, from developers to technical decision-makers
  • Ability to easily transition from high-level strategic thinking to creative and detail-oriented execution
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to identify innovative ways to tell compelling stories and differentiate products in competitive markets

Compensation: 

  • Base Salary Hiring Range: $198,000 - $240,000
  • All full time employee offers at Pulumi include base salary, bonus or variable, equity and benefits (details below).
