Summary:
 

 In this role you will be responsible for designing, building, F5XC’s Cloud WAAP offerings and solutions. The role requires an individual with strong leadership/execution, cybersecurity background and an ownership mindset with passion for outcomes.

We are looking for a leader who can build a solid differentiated product, develop & refine the strategy around AI; and help to develop new insights based on industry experience and contact with customers, prospects and partners.

 
 Responsibility:

  • Lead product management for part of the F5XC WAAP portfolio
  • Reporting to the VP of Product of F5 Distributed Cloud, this is a leadership role that works collaboratively with the Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales teams, and other F5 teams.   
  • As the VP of Products' trusted counsel, the role requires a highly inventive individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and excellent analytical abilities. 
  • This role is an opportunity to influence the direction for suite of products, to be a key decision-maker within the F5 Distributed Cloud, and to ensure execution on decisions made while working with the leaders in the cross-functional teams outside of the Product Group. 
  • Manage the product development process from inception to product delivery. Actively reach out to customers to understand their needs in multi-cloud. Distil the needs into product requirements and drive delivery of product execution with engineering. 
  • Manage the product launch process delivering technical decision maker and business decision maker content, envision a solution demo of new capabilities, price the new capabilities, and drive sales enablement efforts including making product orderable on the Saas platform. 
  • Deliver web content, whitepapers, and demonstrations to drive customer adoption, and ensure technical marketing alignment with key partners
  • Work with key decision makers in marketing and sales to ensure that the product is correctly communicated to the market
  • Lead a team of Product Managers, manage day to day decisions on product specifications, product requirements, market assessment, roadmap prioritization, customer and account team management

 
 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with cyber security, WAF, DDoS, API Security and related areas preferred
  • Exceptional ability to define and execute on a product roadmap delivering outstanding product
  • Demonstrated ability to frame a business case and analyze options.
  • Excellent business modeling and analytics skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to zoom out while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a minimum of  14 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 10 years and a Master’s degree; MBA desirable
  • At least  6 years of experience in product management in the security industry
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with strong ability to influence people at all levels and in various functions
  • Strong awareness of technology trends and potential influence on F5’s business
  • Strong teaming skills: positive teammate, good team builder, experience to bring together diverse views.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically
  • Ability to converse with technical and business personnel fluently

The annual base pay for this position is: $200,278.00 - $300,418.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
