Position Overview

Verra Mobility’s Commercial Services business unit is seeking a proven and exceptional Director, Product Management for its Title & Registration product line. The Director is responsible for setting the product roadmap and strategic direction of the business which processes vehicle title and registration requests for commercial fleets of all sizes across diverse US geographies. A commitment to fact-based, data driven analysis and the ability to translate the voice of the customer to deliver innovative, high quality, scalable product solutions. A commitment to continuous improvement and metrics-based management is important to the success of the position. The Director reports directly to the SVP/GM of the Title and Registration Business and will manage a high-performing product team dedicated to the T&R product line.

This role will define and execute on strategic objectives and key performance goals that align product strategy with business unit goals. This role drives product discovery, market research, and competitor research to ensure the company delivers products that meet our customers at their highest point of need. Additionally, the individual in this role partners with internal development teams to envision new services, share the product vision and strategy with diverse stakeholders, and regularly report on the progress of the product roadmap and development pipeline. Most importantly, this position will take accountability for the financial and strategic performance of the Title & Registration business through direct ownership and by influencing cross-functional stakeholders, clients, and prospects.

What you'll do

  • Define product and service solutions for current and new customers.
  • Drive, in partnership with the Customer Success team, ‘voice of customer’ insights.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive environment and market dynamics.
  • Utilize a structured process to progress new initiatives from idea to launch.
  • Develop and present business cases to advocate for your business.
  • Collaborate with Program Management to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of product and service releases while utilizing an internal gates process.
  • Create collaborative partnerships with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to drive business results.
  • Serve as the expert for your products and solutions, create productive customer relationships, and drive revenue, profit, and engagement from each of the revenue channels.
  • Prioritize product and solutions for the business and have primary ownership of the product roadmap and the delivery of it. Be the P&L owner for your products and solutions
  • Manage and measure the work of direct reports through identifying and tracking key success metrics; discover and address root causes when issues arise.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering.
  • Master’s degree in business administration preferred.
  • Experience in PnL management.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and strong communication skills
  • Experience building, leading, scaling, and maturing high performing teams.
  • Experience with cloud-based computing, workflow automation and modernization of legacy software platforms.
  • Experience in the automotive or fleet industries, emerging automotive technologies, or the Title & Registration market is preferred.
  • Experience performing market studies, competitive analysis, and voice of the customer research.
  • Capability to think commercially to deliver business cases, product pricing and margin improvement.
  • Participated in structured gates and agile processes
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards.
  • Moderate travel required (up to ~30%).
