About the Role
The Director of Events will be responsible for managing a team of event professionals and designing and executing a wide range of events that align with our company's strategic initiatives and brand. You will manage and develop a team of high-performing event managers responsible for delivering exceptional branded and sponsored events in the web3 and banking capital markets industries. This role requires a highly organized and creative individual with proven experience in event management, people leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
Your Impact

Partner with senior leadership and marketing teams to define the event strategy aligned with company OKRs and branding

Develop and execute an event strategy and roadmap that ensures Chainink-owned and sponsored events, including our flagship conference, SmartCon, are impactful, well-attended and help achieve company OKRs

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of event managers, coordinators, and support staff to deliver high-quality events

Work cross-functionally with internal operation teams to review contracts and manage vendor performance to deliver the best value and quality of service for Chainlink Labs. Oversee and manage event spending

Collaborate and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure event objectives are met and integrated into the company’s broader goals
Requirements
-
At least 8+ years of experience in event management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team management role, preferably in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment (VC firm, fintech startup, consumer web2 brand, or similar).

Proven track record of managing complex events, including large-scale conferences, investor events, product launches, and brand experiences at sponsored events.

At least 3 years of experience managing large event budgets.

At least 3 years of experience leading and developing people, including setting development goals, providing feedback, and ensuring a high-bar event execution
Preferred Requirements

Event, experiential or marketing agency background

Experience in fintech, venture capital, or startup environments

Experience with event marketing metrics and measurement tools and methodologies

Experience working with executive level stakeholders
