This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s Corporate Office locations in Scottsdale, Arizona or Beverly Hills, California.
Discovery Land Company is seeking a full-time, year-round Director of Corporate Cybersecurity to join the Information Technology Team.
The role of Director of Cybersecurity encompasses managing crucial company resources, and safeguarding company's data as well as infrastructure. This role will define security policy, as well as mitigation policies at all levels.

Professional Experience:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in IT and/or cybersecurity roles.
  • Proven track record of managing information security and risk management projects.
  • Experience in leading and contributing to cybersecurity incident responses, mitigation practices.
  • Creation and implementation of security policies, mitigation policies and assessments.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control).
  • Experience with Cisco based systems, firewalls, switches, as well as Meraki systems.
  • Familiarity with SIEM systems, practices and standards/policies.
  • Experience with Cisco ETD and ESA systems, standard mail security practices and policy creation and monitoring.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and policies.
  • Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks.
  • Incident Response: Leading the response to security breaches and incidents, including investigation and remediation.
  • Compliance: Ensuring the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Team Leadership: Managing and mentoring a team of cybersecurity professionals.
  • Security Awareness: Promoting cybersecurity awareness and training programs within the organization.
  • Technology Oversight: Evaluating and implementing security technologies and tools.
  • Collaboration: Working with other departments to integrate cybersecurity measures into business processes.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of cybersecurity technologies, protocols, and best practices.
  • Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Incident Response: Skills to manage and respond to security breaches and incidents.

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking: Capability to develop and implement long-term cybersecurity strategies.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing security data and trends to make informed decisions.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solving skills to address security challenges.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
