Location: remote

Against that backdrop, we are seeking a visionary leader who will join the Health Quality and Stars (HQS) leadership team as the Director, Competitive Intelligence to drive the strategic vision of the company’s Stars competitive knowledge management system. This is an exciting new position that will include analyzing market trends, competitor performance and the regulatory environment to inform strategic decision making and enhance our Stars Ratings. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Medicare landscape, strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate insights effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the external environment and industry trends and provide insights and recommendations to the Stars leadership team

  • Collaborate with Stars Measure Owners and senior leaders to refine strategies that align our mission, vision, and key priorities 

  • Provide insights on competitor strategies, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats and strategic plans

  • Build a competitive intelligence team by providing key strategic intelligence, managing action items and providing a venue for strategic discussions to take place

  • Build and maintain an active network of internal and external intelligence sources

  • Identify and evaluate prospective business partners and acquisition candidates

  • Conduct primary and secondary research

  • Design and manage third-party market and market and competitive intelligence studies

  • Attend industry conferences and provide reports on industry, market trends and competitor developments

  • Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to the job function

Role Essentials

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field

  • 8+ years of work experience in large national plans, strategic consulting, market analysis and/or finance

  • Strong understanding of the Medicare Advantage Star Rating System and associated quality measures

  • Demonstrated enterprise leadership and experience managing cross-functional teams

  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable strategies

  • Building business use cases to inform executive management decisions on new initiatives  

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences

Role Desirables

  • Master's degree strongly preferred

  • Specific competitive intelligence experience is highly desired

Additional Information

Remote Work at Home Requirement

  • Must have a separate room with a locked door that can be used as a home office to ensure you and your patients have absolute and continuous privacy while you work

  • Must have accessibility to hardwired high speed internet with minimum speeds of 10Mx1M for a home office (Wireless and Satellite are prohibited)

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$168,000 - $231,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
