We have offices in San Francisco and San Diego for those who prefer hybrid or office settings. Oura employees in other major cities (like Boston and New York) occasionally gather informally at local co-working locations.

What you will do:

    • Support our C-suite and work with their team(s) to build and execute thoughtful internal and external communications plans and cadence.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to drive internal company communications that clearly and creatively share relevant and timely information that is aligned with company values, key initiatives, and business objectives.
    • Craft written materials for our executive team, including emails, Slack messages, executive quotes, FAQs, as well as momentum, holiday, culture, crisis communications, and more.
  • Stakeholder & Media Relations
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, influencers, analysts, and thought leaders, driving earned media coverage and positive brand sentiment.
    • Collaborate with external agencies and consultants to amplify Oura’s message and increase media presence across key areas, including product, healthcare, commercial growth, and more.
    • Build and cultivate cross-functional relationships with our leaders across several teams—product, engineering, commercial, finance, legal, marketing, and people—to ensure we’re delivering consistent messages internally and externally.
    • Manage executive media training, preparing Oura leaders for high-profile interviews, speaking engagements, and public appearances; help manage logistics and develop prep and event materials.
    • Act as a point of contact for all corporate and brand PR, crisis communications, and media relations inquiries.
  • Agency Management
    • Oversee and manage relationships with external PR agencies across multiple verticals, including consumer lifestyle, corporate, international, and healthcare, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, consistency in messaging, and the execution of high-impact campaigns.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
