We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to support and drive Maxar's Business Operations function . This role will partner with cross-functional teams and ensure the successful alignment of financial goals with the organization's V2MOM strategy.
The role r equires the ability to influence outcomes directly and indirectly across a wide range of stakeholders including internal cross-functional business partners, the senior leadership team, ownership group and board of directors. This leader p artners with other senior leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives . Makes final decisions on administrative and/or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives . Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements. Interactions frequently involve special skills , such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Finance to shape decision-making process, influence development roadmaps, and drive profitability while maintaining financial discipline. Key deliverables include: driving performance to cash expense targets ( OpEx , CapDev Labor), key V2MOM initiatives , and management of the Investment ROI .
Minimum Qualifications :

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanant Resident


  • Bachelor's degree in finance or similar field (accounting, business management, etc.).


  • 10+ years of experience in Product/Engineering Finance, Sales Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, or P&L leadership


  • 5+ Experience with Opex , COGS, and Cap Dev management


  • Strong ability to business partner


  • Extremely proficient with Excel, PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
• The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $150,000.00 - $250,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $165,000.00 - $275,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within California is: $173,000.00 - $287,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
