Our Technology team is seeking a highly motivated Digital Product Manager to lead our Commercial segments. This role is pivotal in defining the segment’s product strategy & roadmap as well as managing the overall delivery process with the assigned technology teams. The Digital Product Manager will oversee development projects from concept to delivery, ensuring products meet customer needs and drive business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Product Development: Work together and lead design and engineering teams to translate or generate user persona needs into innovative product features and designs supporting commercial application intake, underwriting, rating, policy administration and claim management. Lead the development process of technology solutions, from initial concept to delivery. Champion the development process to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Identify and Prioritize User Needs: Develop, present, and implement the product strategy and roadmap for the Commercial segments. Conduct comprehensive internal and market research for design and to uncover user pain points, desires, and needs. Translate these insights into a prioritized product backlog, with detailed design requirements including acceptance testing criteria ensuring that the most critical features and enhancements are addressed first
  • Facilitate Product Strategy: Collaborate closely with internal and external commercial insurance and technical leaders, as well as other cross-functional teams, to define, refine, document, and implement a digital product vision and roadmap that aligns with overall business objectives. Foster strong partnerships across departments to ensure operational readiness and maximize the value realization of the digital product(s).
  • Execute Product Roadmap: Define and execute a comprehensive commercial digital product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements. Ensure that portfolio of products is aligned and meets business and technology goals. Collaborate with the business and technical teams to manage the product backlog and prioritize features. Become a servant leader as a member of the scrum delivery team focused on setting and meeting the objectives of each sprint.
  • Team Building and Development: Identify and recruit individuals who align with the company’s values and mission, ensuring a diverse and skilled team composition. Develop and implement effective onboarding processes to integrate new team members smoothly and efficiently. Facilitate continuous learning and development opportunities, including training programs, workshops, and mentorship initiatives. Promote a culture of collaboration, trust, and inclusivity, encouraging open communication and diverse perspectives.

Digital Product Manager Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in a digital or technology-focused role.
  • Experience in the Commercial or Management Liability sector of the Insurance industry is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Kanban methodologies and practices.
  • Successful track record of developing digital products within deadlines.
  • Deep knowledge of insurance policy & claims lifecycle is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of product management principles and best practices is required.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), development frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js), and data management (SQL, NoSQL databases).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps.
