Role Expectations

As a Design Coordinator, you’ll report to our Design Leadership and play a critical role in leading people—not pixels. With 20+ designers across multiple projects, your focus will be mentoring, developing, and supporting the team while collaborating with senior leadership to ensure healthy, well-aligned teams.


People Management Responsibilities:

You will play a crucial role in fostering the growth and development of our team members.

  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with team members to discuss their career progression, delivery expectations, performance, and engagement.
  • Guide team members in creating their career plans, helping them identify their skill gaps, and offering guidance on aligning their professional goals with the company's objectives.
  • Create an inclusive environment where team members feel valued, heard, and free to express their thoughts and ideas.
  • Assess individuals' performance regularly, identifying gaps, recognizing achievements, and guiding the team to meet business needs.
  • Uphold ArcTouch's Culture and Leadership Principles, guiding team members to align with these values.
  • Encourage team leads/design mentors to play a role in the coaching and skill development of their design team peers.

Recruitment Responsibilities:

You will partner with our department leadership and PeopleOps team to recruit the very best people.

  • Constantly assess the team's competencies and ensure you hire people to complement your current team, building the team you need to staff projects.
  • Participate actively in the hiring process, providing valuable inputs to improve recruitment.
  • Collaborate with the team leadership to ensure the team's capabilities meet business needs and align on hiring progress.
  • Collaborate closely with the PeopleOps Team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, including assigning a Peer Buddy and overseeing technical and project onboarding.
  • Identify and support internal opportunities for existing team members through regular talent reviews and coordination with leadership.

Business Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of projects.

  • Focus on team health and delivery across multiple project pods, partnering with technical leadership on long-term resourcing and escalation support.
  • Resource Allocation: Balance individuals and business goals to define project allocations, ensuring the teams have the necessary resources to deliver the best work.
  • Regularly meet with internal stakeholders on a selection of projects to assess and bring actions to improve the team's value delivery, ensuring we meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Identify and address knowledge gaps within the project teams, ensuring they’re adequately staffed and equipped to deliver high-quality work.


Technical Responsibilities:

  • While not responsible for design direction or strategy, you’ll support the department leadership by sharing valuable insights.
  • Provide feedback based on project and team observations to help improve collaboration, execution, and quality across teams.
