Job Description

AECOM is seeking to hire a Deputy Design Build Manager – Highway Roadway Transportation to support our exciting projects in the Pacific Northwest.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading a team of professionals overseeing design of large scale complex projects with an emphasis on design-build delivery.

  • Assist in supervising and leading the project plan.

  • Track budgets and schedules for project deliverables.

  • Develop and manage key client relationships.

  • Provide technical expertise.

  • Ensure quality control process and submittals of work developed by others.

  • Assist in managing design package submittals.

  • Mentor, grow, and recruit staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain Washington PE within twelve months if not currently registered in WA.

  • Experience delivering design build projects with WSDOT on large complex highway projects.

  • Experience managing a large team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience developing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets.

  • Knowledge of agency/regulatory approval process, standards, and best practices.

  • Client connections and relationships with local and state agencies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills experience.

  • Local candidates to Seattle highly preferred.
