Forbes Vetted is seeking an experienced Deals And Coupons Writer to join our growing commerce editorial team. This role will be responsible for researching and writing about the latest sales, deals and coupons across all of our verticals including home, fashion, beauty, tech, parenting and gear. You will work under the guidance of both the Forbes Vetted Senior Coupons Editor and the Deals Editor to assist in building out our library of coupon store pages, as well as cover a mix of single product deals, deal roundups, site-wide sales and tentpole events. This is a fast-paced role in which you will often need to demonstrate the ability to respond to an ever-changing online deal landscape. This role reports to the Senior Deals Editor.

The final candidates will be expected to complete a writing test. 

Responsibilities

  • Researching and writing 1-3 deal articles per day
  • Building and maintaining coupon store pages on a weekly basis, with guidance from the Senior Coupons Editor 
  • Updating evergreen sale content across a variety of categories on a weekly basis
  • Participating in sales event coverage, including occasional shifts over holiday weekends like Memorial Day, Labor Day and Black Friday through Cyber Monday
  • Working with the business and SEO teams as needed to ensure deal content is optimized for revenue and search
  • Working with the  Updates team to add sale pricing and event information to evergreen stories in the lead-up to and during tentpole events
  • Collaborating with the Assistant Deals Editor on brand-building initiatives such as columns, social videos and newsletters 

The Ideal Candidate

  • 1-2 years of experience writing deals content and/or product reviews 
  • Impeccable writing skills
  • A strong understanding of SEO best practices for commerce content
  • Experience writing across multiple verticals
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • An appropriate taste level to be able to curate products for the Forbes audience

This is a remote role with the option to commute to the Jersey City Forbes office if desired. 

The annual base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000

Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith.  The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate.  In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
