The Analytics Team is responsible for building and maintaining analytics tools and workflows to support the PrizePicks business across all departments - at the core of these operations is data and the insights driven from that data. You will work closely with other data scientists, reporting analysts, and cross-departmental directors to test business flows, make business recommendations, and provide novel business insights to leadership focused on driving revenue growth, optimizing marketing efficiency, and optimizing retention efforts.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop novel modeling techniques specific to predicting sports outcomes.
  • Clean complex sport-specific datasets and construct workflows to feed data into modeling frameworks.
  • Ideate new methods of modeling correlated events in sports.

What you have:

  • Prior work experience/internships in a production environment.
  • Experience building machine learning models from scratch.
  • Advanced knowledge of sports and their related statistics and modeling methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with lower-level programming languages (Rust, C++, Java, etc.)

What makes you stand out:

  • Familiarity with advanced sports statistics and analytics platforms used in professional basketball or football.
  • Experience working with real-time sports data feeds and APIs.
  • Software engineering/computer science background
  • Knowledge of sports betting concepts and daily fantasy sports a plus.

  • While we prefer candidates based in Atlanta, we are open to qualified applicants from anywhere in the U.S. and are willing to consider remote candidates. #LI-Remote
