Senior Engineer II - Application Team

Atop this foundation, the platform enables marketers to choose from a range of measurement methodologies, giving customers the flexibility to choose the most appropriate approach for their specific needs and questions.
The Application Team is responsible for delivering out of the box analyses within the Rockerbox platform in partnership with our data engineering teams. The team covers two main components: configuration and insights. This role is designed to play a pivotal role in delivering the platform’s insights capabilities, by owning projects that result in customer-facing dashboards and analytics interfaces. Specifically, this role will deliver work related to building and optimizing the semantic layer. Our ideal candidate has a full-stack engineering background with a focus on back-end concepts and technologies related to data engineering.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with product managers and the App team to define and achieve product feature goals, ensuring seamless integration between backend services and user interfaces.

Design and implement robust solutions to support application functionality, optimizing data flow and system performance.

Take ownership of testing frameworks, emphasizing the reliability and accuracy of data as it moves from backend systems to end-users.

Contribute to the team’s understanding of technical and business aspects by enhancing the semantic layer and improving application data structures.
Qualifications:

7+ years of combined experience in software engineering with a focus on back-end work.

Deep expertise in Python and SQL, with Python as a main language.

Demonstrated delivery of work associated with a data platform's semantic layer is preferred.

Full-stack experience delivering analysis or dashboarding products.

Practical knowledge of algorithms, models, and data structures relevant to marketing analytics.

Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
