Data Product Owner will be responsible for maximizing the value of data by identifying and prioritizing features for the data team. This role will understand the needs, strategic objectives, and industry norms of all MeridianLink’s business processes and data products to clearly express feature requests. The role will coordinate and communicate across technical, business, and customer-facing teams.


Expected Duties:

- Responsible for the success of the product by maximizing the output of the development team within a scrum framework

- Responsible for representing the product backlog items, ordering the items to best achieve goals, and optimizing the value of the work the team performs

- Expected to participate in stand-up meetings, lead sprint planning, and backlog grooming

- Will create and communicate business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that translate business needs into clear work items submitted into sprints

- The role will work closely with customers, business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to understand, analyze, refine, prioritize, and communicate needs to ensure a full understanding of project scope, objectives, and requirements

- Responsible for staying up to date on and ensuring compliance with data related laws and relevant subject area knowledge


Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


- Be able to work on problems of a moderate scope which are often varied and routine where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors

- Be able to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

- Ability to apply learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems

- Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by collaborating on procedures or transactions

- Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent work experience)

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and in an organized manner

- Knowledge of Data Strategy, Data Management, Data Governance, Data Science, and Data Engineering concepts

- Experience coordinating and planning cloud data roadmaps and deliverables

- 2-4 years of experience in developing, planning, and/or deploying data solutions in the financial services and/or software industry

Salary range of $104,000 - $146,800. [It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.] The actual salary will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law including geographical location.
