The opportunity.

The Data & Intelligence team at Trumid is seeking candidates for a role at the intersection of data engineering, machine learning, and AI. As we work to add intelligence and automation across our trading workflows, constructing reliable, high-quality datasets for training, testing, and running our growing suite of models is a key challenge. While many organizations separate these functions, we believe that a hands-on approach with both the data and the models will allow us to move faster and achieve better long-term results.

We are a team of software engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and quants from a range of backgrounds spanning trading, consumer tech, enterprise software, government agencies, and more. We work primarily remotely across three US time zones and two European countries.

About you.

The ideal candidate is a true believer in machine learning, with a strong vision for its potential to transform bond markets. This person understands that successful models are built on a solid data foundation and has the skills and discipline to create that foundation before research and model development begin.

You may be an engineer with experience building large-scale data systems who wants to add machine learning to your toolbelt, or an ML researcher who has built up a data engineering skillset over your years of developing and deploying models.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of data engineering, software engineering, machine learning, and/or LLM experience
  • Quantitative educational background
  • Track record of working with both technical and business stakeholders to define and build to system requirements
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain data ingestion, storage, and processing systems for machine learning use cases
  • Knowledge of supervised learning architectures (regression, decision tree, KNN, etc)
  • Experience with multiple stages of the ML lifecycle (feature engineering, training, validation, testing, deployment, monitoring)
  • Strong background in SQL (cloud data warehouses and relational databases)
  • Strong background in Python (scripting, data analysis, ML packages, backend/microservice development)
  • Experience with batch data pipelines and ETL orchestration tools

Nice-to-have knowledge and experience:

  • LLMs and associated infrastructure/tools
  • Deep learning and neural networks
  • Pub/sub (Apache Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub, AWS SNS, or similar)
  • Lambda architectures, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Graduate degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, economics, or a related quantitative discipline

Employee benefits.

  • Highly competitive compensation
  • Fully paid medical, dental and vision coverage
  • Team-oriented and collaborative company culture
  • Flexibility for in-office and work from home arrangements
