As a( Data Engineer within PNC's Enterprise Fraud Organization (EFO), you will be based in Pittsburgh,-PA, Birmingham-AL or Cleveland-OH.
Skills
- Deep understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop/HDFS, Azure, Kafka
- Hands-on experience automating processes through scripting utilizing PowerShell, Python, PySpark, Slurm, or other tools
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as Informatica, Oracle, Talend, or Snowflake
- Experience monitoring and assessing enterprise data processes for the purposes of optimization and reliability
- Ability to create, troubleshoot, and optimize advanced SQL queries in Impala and Hive
- Experience in creating real time monitoring business intelligence solutions (Tableau experience preferred)
- Self-motivated individual able to work with little supervision.
Job Description
- Monitors the availability of data replications, dashboard performance, and report generation against baseline metrics
- Incident detection, resolution and/or escalation. Participation in root cause analysis and correction resulting in prevention.
- Incorporation of new data sources to expand and improve the team’s monitoring capabilities
- Optimization of existing solutions to improve reliability and speed of business intelligence based monitoring
- Communication and productive partnership skills with business leaders, analysts and engineers.
- Documentation of solutions and maintenance of Bitbucket repository

Job Description

  • Develops, supports and implements data services for multiple applications to meet business objectives and user requirements. Uses technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions.
  • Works closely with users, developers, operations and business partners to define data service requirements and the data preparation process development.
  • Designs and builds data service infrastructure on multiple data platforms, according to key business processes and the overall workflow.
  • Develops and implements data solutions for multiple applications to ensure its scalability, availability and maintainability.
  • Implements data migration and transformation activities/processes to ensure the accuracy and security of data solutions.
