About the Role:
The Reconciliation Insights and Analytics team is dedicated to building critical financial tools and products that ensure accuracy, transparency, and completeness in our financial data. We focus on analyzing and identifying data discrepancies, enhancing customer experience, and delivering applicable business insights. Our work supports important partners across Remitly, including Accounting, Treasury, Finance, and Customer Success. Reporting to the Data Operations Manager, Insights & Analytics, you will help deliver reliable financial data insights that grow our business. This is a hybrid position based in Seattle and will require 2-3 days onsite.
You Will:
- Analyze Reconciliation Processes: Oversee and analyze end-to-end reconciliation processes for all Remitly financial events to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with Partners: Partner with teams to define requirements, develop measurable goals, and create documentation to support analytical solutions to our challenges.
- Develop Analytical Solutions: Use your technical skills to create scalable solutions that detect, monitor, and fix data discrepancies, delivering clear insights for partners.
- Establish Documentation and Processes: Develop documentation, workflows, and processes to address and resolve out-of-threshold metrics.
- Present Data-Driven Insights: Translate complex data into easily understandable formats, presenting insights and applicable recommendations that support decision-making across the organization.
You Have:
- 4+ years in Data Analytics: Proven experience in data analytics, with a strong focus on delivering relevant insights
- Advanced SQL Proficiency: Expertise in SQL for comprehensive database querying and complex data manipulation
- Data Visualization Skills: Proficiency in creating clear, impactful visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker
- 2+ years of Programming: Basic experience in a programming language (R or Python)
- 2+ years of Data Modeling: Basic experience in dimensional data modeling, ETL, implementation and maintenance
- Analytical Mindset and Curiosity: Guided by a natural curiosity to explore complex data and extract meaningful insights.
- 2+ years of Advanced Statistical Analysis: Basic experience using statistics in reporting / analysis
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $112,000-$135,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
