Customer Success Operations Analyst
We're looking for a data-savvy and detail-oriented individual to join our Customer Success team as an Entry-Level Customer Success Operations Analyst. This role is perfect for someone early in their career who wants to blend operational efficiency with data science principles to support a growing customer base. You'll help streamline success team workflows, analyze customer behavior, and drive insights that improve customer experience and retention.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with Customer Success Advisors (CA's) to analyze customer data and identify trends in product usage, churn risk, and expansion opportunities.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports in tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI to track customer health metrics and operational KPIs.
- Assist in maintaining and optimizing Customer Success platforms (e.g., Gainsight, Salesforce).
- Create and manage workflows and playbooks that automate customer success processes.
- Partner with Data and Product teams to surface actionable insights from customer feedback and usage data.
- Run ad-hoc analyses using SQL, Excel, Python, or R to answer strategic business questions.
- Support quarterly business reviews (QBRs) by preparing data-driven materials and performance summaries.
- Help standardize onboarding, retention, and renewal data tracking procedures.
The skills you'll bring include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a data analyst, customer success, operations, or business analyst role (internships count!).
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with SQL or Python/R is a plus.
- Basic understanding of customer lifecycle metrics and SaaS business models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Curious, analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
