Job Description:

The role: 

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Creative Director to lead our creative team in conceptualizing and executing innovative and compelling visual and verbal brand identity, campaigns and assets. As Creative Director, you will be responsible for shaping the creative direction across various platforms, ensuring our brand message is communicated effectively and consistently. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional creative work that meets strategic goals. 

 

What you’ll do: 

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of in-house and freelance designers, copywriter(s) and agencies to communicate the brand’s visual and verbal identity in a compelling and consistent manner across all digital and print touchpoints, including but not limited to E-commerce, e-mail, digital media, social media, powerpoint presentation, tradeshow, event, print collateral and packaging assets. 

  • Develop and communicate the company’s creative vision, both internally and externally, and ensure it is executed across all channels globally.  

  • Oversee the creation and implementation of campaign concepts, asset development, brand guidelines, and creative toolkits. 

  • Concept, lead and execute photo and video shoots, retouching, asset creation and global rollout. 

  • Advise and partner with social team on look and feel of social media creative assets. 

  • Manage multiple projects from concept through completion, ensuring deadlines are met and within budget and assigning team workflow on a weekly basis to ensure priorities are established and completed. 

  • Utilize digital project management tool (Monday.com) to facilitate brief in, project assignment, tracking and approval processes. 

  • Collaborate with marketing, training and sales teams to create cohesive campaigns that align with business and brand objectives. Establish collaborative and efficient cross-functional briefing and review process. 

  • Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices to keep our creative output fresh and innovative. 

  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide constructive feedback to foster a collaborative and creative environment. 

  • Manage creative department budget. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
     

What you need to know: 

Experience/Skills/Education: 

 

Required: 

  • 5+ years as a Creative Director, with a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates creative thinking and execution across various media. 

  • 5+ years Creative experience at a beauty company including packaging design and digital content creation. 

  • 5+ years managing a creative team and external partners (photographers, retouchers, etc.). 

  • 5+ years of experience as a creative designer and ability to design and direct print and visual asset creation. 

  • Excellent leadership, cross-functional and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. 

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and defend creative concepts to stakeholders. 

  • Proficiency in design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, etc. 

  • Strong understanding of marketing, advertising, branding and packaging principles. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 
     

Desired: 

  • Experience in beauty or medical device industry 

  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and methodologies. 

  • Experience working in an agency or fast-paced creative environment. 

(Salary Pay Range: $135,000 - $160,000)

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of BeautyHealth’s total rewards package for our employees.
