As a detail-oriented Cost Accountant at Carbon Robotics you’ll build and scale cost accounting processes for our first manufacturing operations. This role is critical in shaping efficient, sustainable production practices through expertise in cost analysis, budgeting, and inventory control.
What you’ll do:
- Establish Cost Accounting Processes: Design systems for tracking production costs (materials, labor, overhead) and ensure compliance.
- Cost Analysis & Reporting: Analyze costs, prepare variance reports, and provide insights to optimize profitability.
- Inventory Management: Implement controls, conduct inventory accounts, understand purchasing and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budget creation, forecasts, cost analysis, movement of inventory, understand purchasing.
- Process Improvement: Recommend cost-control measures and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across Engineering, Supply chain, Purchasing
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA/CMA preferred.
- 2+(mid level)/5+(Seniors) years in cost accounting (manufacturing preferred); experience setting up cost systems is a plus.
- Proficient in NetSuite, advanced Excel, strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Willing to travel to Richland , WA as necessary.
- Adaptable, problem-solving mindset, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
**The published salary range reflects compensation for candidates at both the mid-level and senior-level experience tiers for the Cost Accountant role.
Carbon Robotics follows equitable hiring practices. Flexibility in our hiring process allows hiring of talent at levels different from what are posted. The compensation range outlined is based on a target budgeted base salary. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Offers are determined using our equitable hiring practices. Carbon Robotics offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, pre-IPO stock options and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year. We are committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for similar work.
Carbon Robotics' base salary pay range:
$115,000—$155,000 USD
