Contract Renewal Specialist
The Contract Renewal Specialist will play a key role in capturing value from underpriced or legacy customer agreements. You’ll manage a portfolio of renewals and be responsible for communicating with customers, negotiating renewal terms, and ensuring on-time contract execution. Your focus will be on relationship-building, strategic conversations, and closing renewals that reflect the true value of our services.
What You'll Do:
- Own and manage a portfolio of upcoming contract renewals with existing customers.
- Proactively communicate with customers to discuss renewal terms, focusing on price alignment and account value.
- Negotiate pricing and terms within internal guidelines to drive revenue while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Customer Success, and Finance to ensure smooth execution of the renewal process.
- Maintain accurate tracking and status updates across all renewal opportunities using Salesforce and other tools.
- Identify upsell or value capture opportunities within renewals, particularly for customers on outdated or underpriced agreements.
- Provide an excellent customer experience, balancing empathy with business goals.
- Coordinate closely with the Contracts team for document preparation and routing; your role centers on negotiation and customer interaction.
What You'll Bring:
- 3+ years in a B2B customer-facing role such as contract renewals, inside sales, or account management.
- Experience negotiating renewal terms or pricing with customers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a confident, consultative approach.
- Experience working with CRMs like Salesforce.
- Familiarity with SaaS business models or subscription contracts is a strong plus.
- Positive customer service oriented and teamwork attitude.
- Proficient and comfortable in Microsoft Office Software, especially Word.
- Familiarity with contract management and electronic signature software/applications and process.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
The base salary for this position is $50,000.00 - $70,000.00. Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
