Cybersecurity is an exciting, evolving space, and being at the forefront of the fight to disrupt cybercrime makes SpyCloud a special place to work. If you’re driven to align your career with a fantastic mission, look no further!

We’re scaling up our content team to match the company’s explosive growth and need a seasoned B2B Content Specialist with experience in diverse content formats and distribution. If you have a knack for storytelling and breaking the mold, keep reading!

In this role, you’ll partner with marketing team members, our creative team, and internal SMEs to drive the creation and curation of engaging content. If you’re not a fan of BS or buzzwords – and believe that all content should serve the audience – we want you on our team!

You’ll be supported by a stellar marketing team who will introduce you to the nuances of our brand positioning and our place in the cybersecurity industry. We’re excited to partner with you as we drive customer acquisition and brand awareness, and lead our company into its next growth phase.

What You'll Do:

  • Researching, interviewing, and working cross-functionally to identify core topics and develop impactful content
  • Writing and editing short- (social posts, emails) medium- (blog posts, case studies, newsletters), and long-form (guides, whitepapers, reports) content
  • Co-managing the editorial calendar based on strategic initiatives
  • Owning our social media program (primarily LinkedIn) including evolving our strategy and writing, scheduling, and distributing content
  • Supporting content distribution on other owned channels, including our website, email, and third-party sites (like Substack and Reddit)
  • Supporting our growing video (explainers, fireside chat, Q&A, etc) program through ideation, storyboarding, and production processes
  • Tracking content performance, and then optimizing strategy and assets based on lessons learned
  • Managing our content library and performing regular content audits with product marketing to determine when assets need to be refreshed or retired, or to identify gaps that can be filled with new content.

Requirements:

  • Your true superpower is making jargon-heavy tech content approachable, and you have a strong portfolio of compelling assets that have driven brand awareness and customer engagement to prove it.
  • You have at least 3-5 years of experience as a B2B content professional – experience in SaaS and/or cybersecurity is a must for this one.
  • You’re curious and get jazzed about experimentation. You’ve dug into the world of AI and are comfortable when it comes to content research, ideation, and creation that supports strong writing standards and ethics. MarketMuse experience is a plus.
  • You’re well-organized and leverage clear communication and documentation while juggling content production timelines to match priorities.
  • You understand channel-specific best practices, including content format, length, style/tone, SEO basics, etc. Familiarity with video is preferred.
  • You enjoy collaborating with multiple (awesome) departments/team members, SMEs, and freelancers/contractors to develop and publish great content.
  • You are receptive to timely and thoughtful feedback and are agile in adjusting or pivoting priorities to accommodate business needs.
  • You have experience with project management, CMS, and social media management tools. Asana, Wordpress, and SproutSocial experience are a plus.
  • You care about continuing to learn, innovate, and hone your craft.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
