Job Summary
We are seeking a Conference & Events Specialist III/IV. Working in the East Coast Corporate Events department as part of the Corporate Communications Center of Excellence, you will be connecting the Aerospace technical team with their customers and their missions through the execution of events. These events support our customers and the guiding principles of The Aerospace Corporation in delivering mission success across the space enterprise.
Corporate Communications directly supports the company's customer-facing business groups, administrative functions, and senior leadership team.
We are looking for someone with leadership qualities who can work both independently and with a team, can anticipate client needs, and possesses the initiative to work on solving for solutions.
Work Model
This is a full-time onsite position based in Crystal City DC, which requires 100% onsite work. This position has an on-site presence that may fall outside of normal working hours on occasion due to corporate events or activities.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Work collaboratively, as well as independently, to project manage, develop, produce, and execute a variety of corporate events, logistics, planning, and administrative needs. These will include workshops, conferences, and employee functions.
  • Manage variety of event formats (in person, onsite, virtual, hybrid) coordinating logistics of event setup, livestream production, event technical management, and physical venue arrangements.
  • Create, plan, and execute detailed project plans including event timeline schedules, venue selection and contracts, food & beverage logistics, attendee management, and post-survey engagement results.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external teams to maximize event visibility and success.


What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the Conference & Events Specialist III:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to Five years of relevant events-management experience
  • Currently possess, or ability to obtain, a TS/SCI/SAP security clearance, which is issued by the U.S government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain security clearance.
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong organization capability and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external organizations
  • Ability and willingness to travel to our El Segundo CA, Crystal City DC, and Chantilly VA campus locations
  • Production/Meeting Management experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and IC Connect


In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Conference & Events Specialist IV:

  • Six or more years of relevant events-management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Demonstration strong aptitude of online and virtual meeting technologies and platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, and similar platforms)
  • Experience using current best practices and emerging trends in events production including hosting virtual and hybrid events
  • Experience developing websites on the Cvent platform
