As a Technical Operational Risk Management Lead for the Tech & Cyber team, you will provide independent oversight of technology and cyber risks for Asset and Wealth Management. You will be adept at evaluating technology practices for operational challenges in addition to cybersecurity concerns. You will identify and communicate risks. You must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders. You will leverage experience in engineering, software development, and technology operations in order to identify control or process deficiencies that may result in system disruption or security issues. In addition to developing and executing an oversight plan, you will also develop and maintain relationships with first line stakeholders across technology and controls organizations.
Job Responsibilities

  • Identify technology operational risks related to the root cause of production issues that disrupt technology services for Asset and Wealth Management
  • Identify operational risks associated with large and/or impactful technology change activities
  • Identify thematic risk based off KRI/KPIs and control performance
  • Challenge how developers and product teams are managing operational and cyber risk
  • Provide independent oversight of technology programs and operations
  • Keep stakeholders informed on risk status for Asset and Wealth Management Technology
  • Research external events and evaluate potential impact to JPMC
  • Leverage data to identity areas of unmanaged risk


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 2+ years experience in one of the following areas: Cyber Security, Technology Controls, or Technology Risk Management
  • 3+ years experience in an information technology delivery role in one or more the following areas: application development, quality assurance, technical project management, or systems administration
  • Undergraduate degree in any of the following: engineering, computer science, information systems, cyber security or related technical certifications / boot camp training
  • Strong understanding of application testing, quality control, change and release management
  • Experience with application development tools
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technology principals, and modern development practices
  • Experience with ITSM, ITIL, with focus on development processes
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to challenge and debate the technology organization while maintaining good working relations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make decisions and/or plan next steps even with missing or imperfect data
