Brown & Brown is seeking an Account Executive for our Commercial Lines team in Seattle, Washington!

*This is a hybrid position*

How You Will Contribute

  • Resolve policy and coverage issues for clients and internal teams.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Applied system.

  • Stay updated on insurance products, market trends, and client needs.

  • Administer client accounts, ensure appropriate coverage, and review accounts.

  • Educate clients on coverage, cross-sell and up-sell, and meet Profit Center Minimum Standards.

  • Prepare and negotiate proposals, market new and renewal business, and place coverage with carriers.

  • Manage client renewals, process change requests, and develop client relationships.

  • Maintain strong relationships with underwriters and carriers.

  • Mentor new producers and assist with special projects.

  • Ensure timely premium payments and work closely with Account Managers on receivables.

  • Follow workflow guidelines, maintain quality control, and meet established quality practices.

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Experiences to Be Successful

  • Current Washington State Insurance License and appropriate Non-Resident Licenses

  • 5-7 years of recent agency experience handling the service of multi-line commercial lines book of business, including exposures and underwriter communication and negotiation

  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook)

  • Professional designation (ACSR, CIC, CPCU, CISR) (Preferred)

  • Experience with AMS360 / ImageRight (Preferred)

  • This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle.  Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position

Pay Range

$80,000 - $95,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
