With general direction from a manager, the Client Media Strategist is responsible for creating strategic influencer and social media campaign proposals for new and existing Influencer and Programmatic Media clients.
This role encompasses understanding the strategic goals and objectives of each client, developing creative campaign strategies and preparing proposals that align with those goals. The CMS works alongside the salesperson to determine the best recommendations for the client, price, create the proposal, and address client questions when necessary. The CMS will be responsible for effectively completing the hand-off of the sold campaign to the appropriate execution team.
As a member of the Client Development team for Media Clients, the CMS will often provide guidance and mentoring to more junior members on the team.
Primary Accountabilities:
Strategic (60%)

Thoroughly understand client’s objectives; translate how Inmar’s solutions align with those objectives in a strategic campaign proposal

Utilize data and insights to inform the campaign strategy
-
Develop and maintain expertise on digital media trends, technology, and best practices
-
Proactively look for process improvements within the team for more efficient practices
Influence (30%)
-
Ability to use persuasion to justify strategic recommendation to sales

Work closely with the salesperson to ensure the client fully understands the proposal - campaign strategy, products and services available, pricing, timing
-
Obtain “expert” level understanding of Inmar Media’s Social Commerce product solutions, regularly liaising with Inmar product marketing teams to test beta products and provide client feedback on proposals

Maintain positive relationships with internal teams to get their buy in on proposed recommendations

Clearly communicate details of each sold-through program to the execution teams
Operational (10%)

Maintain Salesforce.com Chatter and Quote records for all key account activity
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or a related field
-
A minimum of 2-4 years of related experience, including responsibility for account management; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this position

Experience with shopper marketing, applications of digital media (including social) or influencer industry, preferred
-
Experience with CPG manufacturers or Retailers, a plus

Demonstrated experience in expanding business relationships in a highly competitive environment; ability to sell across products and a variety of different solutions; ability to discern the solution that is best for the customer and the value range they are willing to pay

A strong understanding of digital media, technology, and how trends affect consumer behavior and marketing.

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Good decision making, knowing when to leverage additional resources to move deals past obstacles

Proficient with Salesforce.com

Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite (especially slides or PowerPoint) producing professional business correspondence, proposals and reports
